American Idol, usually telecasted on Sunday continues to go on with a show despite the pandemic situation. But the entire world is in lockdown then how are they planning to do that?
The singing competition is shot at different locations due to this lockdown as the contestants were sent home. The show is now being shot at contestants home with their iPhones. The performances of the participants are filmed with an iPhone where the quality is also painted.
Kimmy Gabriela, 17, from Lakeland, Florida performed a cover of Ariana Grande’s “Leave me lonely” where she impressed the judges.
Katy Perry commented that “I felt that you are starting to know who you are and take it seriously,” and she was dressed up like a sanitizer with a label ‘American Idol Instant Music Sanitizer.’
Francisco Martin, 19 sang “Teenage Dream” and Lionel Richie commented that “You took the chance of life, But you turned it into your song.” The competitors are best than never before and they did not lose their competitive spirit.
America Idol became the first show to air despite the pandemic situation while all other shows are in a break for now. The show took the competition to another level which says to us that modern problem requires a modern solution.
The participants, judges, and creators did not lose their spirit especially the competitors are ready to grab the title.
A press release regarding the show said that “For the first time in competition show history, #AmericanIdol has broadcasted a full remote episode from over 40 locations, with all contestant performances shot on iPhones.” and the team wishes for everyone’s safety in this dangerous phase.
