Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker has revealed that the world is too bleak right now to work on the new season of the series. British production is a favorite of Netflix users.
In its different episodes, it portrays dystopian and science fiction stories in which the viewer is immersed and could generate existential questions.
It is for this reason that Brooker claims that right now it is the least needed. In an interview with Radio Times, Brooker was asked about the series’ sixth season update, to which the media reported that He says he is not sure if the public could endure another season right now.
I’ve been busy doing things. At the moment, I don’t know what stomach it would be for stories about crumbling societies, so I’m not working on any of those episodes.
I’m really looking forward to drawing on my comic skills again, so I’ve been writing scripts meant to make me laugh. Currently, with the Union of Netflix to the production of the series, Brooker works as showrunner alongside Annabel Jones.
Usually, between each season there was a waiting time of just over a year. With the premiere of the fifth season in June 2019, which featured high-profile actors like Miley Cyrus and Anthony Mackie, fans are already anxiously waiting to know what will happen to the series, but Brooker hasn’t said much about Black’s future.
Mirror since last season. The previous season of “Black Mirror” was released on Netflix in June 2019, starring only in three episodes, including Anthony Mackie, Andrew Scott, Topher Grace, and Miley · Miley Cyrus.
The fifth season followed the release of Bandersnatch, an interactive Black Mirror movie starring Fionn Whitehead and Will Poulter and the first Netflix release in the format “choose your own adventure.”
BBC Two recently confirmed that Brooker will return to our screens with an Antiviral Wipe special on Thursday, May 14 at 9 p.m.
