Lockdown and social distancing are mandatory to fight this coronavirus pandemic. Where else could you be safer than in your own house? But to our biggest surprise, we have realized that staying at home is not all we want to do.
Now that it is the only option we have; the realization that the comfort and warmth of home are a blessing after a long tiring day has dawned upon us.
This, in fact, is a feeling shared by everyone, the kid who cannot go out to play or the celebrities who cannot shoot their films or shows. So is the case with Henry Winkler, star of “The Happy Days of Garry Marshall”.
Speaking of his routine, Henry said, “Yesterday I went out to get the Sunday Times edition, and I picked up the newspaper and realized it was Thursday.” He has been advised by his doctor over the daily video call to get dressed every day so as to avoid falling into a disintegrated schedule.
He says, “You’re up for a moment. You are down for a moment. You make the mistake of watching the news and you crash” and this is for all of us all over.
Having mid-day dinner all he is waiting for is the lockdown to get over so that e can finally go hug his grandkids.
The other plan he has post lockdown is to fly fish for trout. He does not even intend to eat one; only to give it a kiss, take a picture, and put it back.
It is in deed a tough time, but all we can do for now is to cut the cycle and avoid its spread.
