As reported by the Game Informer, Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales will include a remastered previous game from Insomniac on PS4.
Without a doubt, the star game at the launch of PS5 will be Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, a continuation of the Spider-Man that came out on PS4 in 2018. Enormously has been debated about the size of the game (Insomniac itself speaks of “independent gameplay”). “which will be of shorter duration than the original, in the style of Uncharted The Lost Legacy although some at Insomniac deny it ).
Be that as it may, what seems clear is that it will be a new adventure, with a new protagonist and a slightly different setting (it is Manhattan again, but now covered in snow at Christmas). What we didn’t know is that it will include a remastering of the original PS4 game.
At least, so says Game Informer magazine, in a brief preview that does not give more details. “Miles Morales is not a traditional sequel, as it comes with a remastering of the Insomniac Spider-Man that takes advantage of the PS5 hardware.”
At the moment, Insomniac has not given more details of the game since its announcement last June (beyond confirming that it will have an optimized mode to work in 4K and 60 fps.
Better to hope to have official confirmation of the study, since it cannot be ruled out either that it is a confusion (for a few days it was thought that the game would be, in effect, an expanded remastering with the character of Morales, something that Insomniac itself ruled out).
If we finally include the remastering of Marvel’s Spider-Man, we can expect much shorter loading times, since the game is used habitually as an example by Sony itself to demonstrate the speed of the PS5 SSD.
