Netflix continues to expand its mobile phone offering. The iconic series “One Piece” will follow soon – but enjoyment should be limited for now.
Fans have wanted this for a long time and now the dream must come true: Netflix has announced that it will make more than 100 episodes as the anime made “One Piece” available.
In particular, viewers can expect the full “East Blue” saga (season 1) and the “Alabasta” saga (seasons 2 to 4), which ends with Nico Robin joining Luffy’s crew.
In recent years, Netflix D has steadily expanded the anime offering, with the streaming service gradually moving from classic anime platforms such as Crunchyroll.
However, it will take some time before the offers for both services are comparable. But Netflix is at its best, as the series classics “Naruto” and “Naruto Shippuden” are already on offer, for example – the anime has been sought by fans for months afterward.
With “One Piece” the streaming service secures the next anime classic. The first four seasons should be available on June 12, 2020, as Netflix announced on Twitter.
In total, users can wait for 130 episodes. By the way, there is a good reason for the release of the season: an actual film “One Piece” series will be produced soon, appearing exclusively on Netflix.
The creator of the manga, Ichichiroda will also be involved in the production.
However, it is still unclear which fans can trust the series. (As of April 30, 2020) At Netflix, a spokesperson confirmed that the announcement of episode 130 “One Piece” did not refer to Germany.
So there is no information about whether the series will appear in this country as well – but this cannot be ruled out in the distant future.
In addition, fans of the series express an entirely different concern on Twitter: Netflix may cut episodes in 16: 9 format instead of uploading them to the earlier common 4: 3 TV format. It may lose important details – which is also the case with the old “Simpsons” episode on Disney +.
