The fifth season of Outlander is getting closer to its end, with only two chapters to go, and the tension is felt in the atmosphere. Next Monday , May 4, the new episode will be available on Movistar + and May 11 will be the day that fans of the series say their final goodbye to fiction until the next installment .
If you have not yet seen the episode ‘Mercy will follow me’ (5×10), do not read on, the following lines contain important ‘spoilers’.
As the end of the series approaches, the main plots that have accompanied the protagonists gradually close. But, if there is an event that has marked a before and after in the main story line, it has been the final death of Stephen Bonnet ( Ed Speelers ).
A farewell that occurs in the last minutes of the chapter and that more than one, surely, was caught by surprise. Bring back a character from the dead to end up killing him soon after? So is Outlander ; never disappoint.
To make up for the mistake in Roger ( Richard Rankin ) ‘s execution , Tyron ( Tim Downie ) ends up drowning Bonnet in the river and to make sure that he will not cross his path again execution Bree ( Sophie Skelton ) shoots him in the head . But, in what situation is the plot at the moment? There are still some loose ends that the writers are likely to decide to deal with in the later scenes like; Claire ( Caitriona Balfe ) altering the timeline by bringing modern medicine to the 18th century or the mysterious departure of young Ian’s mohawk( John Bell ).
The Season 5 has not been easy for Fraser, who every day had to contend with a new threat, however, it is clear that all the attention is because in Jamie ( Sam Heughan ) and Claire and their fate in the next chapters.
