Thirteen years have passed since ‘ Transformers ‘ (Michael Bay, 2007) arrived in theaters for the first time. Since then, this robot story has continued to give enough play to launch five more installments – ‘
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ‘ (2009), ‘ Transformers: The Dark Side of the Moon ‘ (2011), ‘ Transformers: The era of extinction ‘(2014),’ Transformers: The Last Knight ‘(2017), and the fun’ Bumblebee ‘ reboot (Travis Knight, 2018) – plus more to come.
A few months ago we anticipated that Paramount had already commissioned two scripts. Well, now it has been confirmed that at least one of the two is already set in the calendar.
The, yet, untitled new installment has been marked on the studio’s calendar for June 24, 2022, as Deadline collects.
Unfortunately, no further details have been disclosed in this regard, only that it is a ‘live-action ‘ project, which leads us to rule out that this date is reserved for the animated prequel to Transformers, which is in the hands of the director of ‘Toy Story 4’, Josh Cooley.
However, everything points to it being one of those two scripts that we mentioned previously.
Whatis known about these two projects? Joby Harold (‘ King Arthur: The Excalibur Legend ‘) was in command of a new story framed within the Bumblebee universe and the James Vanderbilt (‘ Zodiac ‘) story was rumored to be an adaptation of ‘Beast Wars’.
