Attention Filmmakers! The filmmaker behind Avengers: Endgame wants to talk to his fans about some tapes that have inspired him for his film work. This Friday, Joe and Anthony Russo announced that from next week onwards, they will be hosting their own movie club via a live broadcast from Instagram.
This is the original publication of the directors. In it we see the official poster of such an online program titled Russo Brothers Pizza Film School. In that image, the cartoonist version imagines Joe and Anthony as two pizza chefs who have worked on “Hot and Fresh Movies”. Like many of you, our families have gathered to watch movies during quarantine.
Down in the details, it is announced that in the next few weeks, Russo will release the titles of films that “had the most impact on us as we grew up.” This, under the hashtag #MovieoftheWeek.
The proposed dynamic is that a “film of the week” will be released every Friday, followed by a conversation about it on the following Friday. Ergo, those interested will have seven days to watch the film, before the Pizza Film School episode takes hold. On this, each Instagram Live, Joe and Anthony Russo would lead a discussion around the weekly film, while tasting a pizza bought from a local restaurant.
In addition, each broadcast will include distinguished guests and there will be a place to answer questions from the public. The cinema club will be inaugurated next Friday, May 15. The film on which the first chapter will take place – as read in the previous announcement – La Hain, or Hate, is a French film released in 1995, directed by Matthew Kasowitz (here you can watch it subtitled in Spanish ). Pete Hammond will be the award-winning film critic, as distinguished guest.
Instagram live will begin at 7:00 pm (Central Mexico time), via the official account of the Russo brothers. Will you attend these cinema talks, which are ideal for combating quarantine?
