Ready for PlayStation 5 is the new label that will accompany Sony Bravia televisions.
The objective of this certification is
to offer the best performance
in collaboration with future PS5.
With PlayStation 5 approaching at full speed, Sony wants to prepare its future players with a new quality seal that will allow it to get the most out of the next-generation console. Meantime, the firm has released “Ready for PlayStation 5”.
This new certification has been launched thanks to a collaboration of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sony televisions and aims to offer the best possible gaming experience when we can enjoy PS5.
At present PlayStation5 televisions incorporate the ZH8 8K HDR Full Display LED and XH90 4K HDR Full Display LED versions.
The ZH8 model is capable of displaying images with 8K resolution with 4K resolution at 120 fps whereas XH90 displays gaming images with resolution up to 4K at 120 fps with an input delay of 7.2ms.
The meaning of all this is to provide very smooth gaming experiences with PS5. Television models with this seal have the BRAVIA Game Mode, which permits you to automatically play on PS5 with low latency.
With this mode, the user can turn on both the TV and the console at the same time with the DualSense control, and control the PS5 without problems using the television remote control. Also, Remote gives automatic battery timing and cursor controls for the game console.
As for the console itself, Sony has recently filed for an image reconstruction patent similar to DLSS 2.0, with possible use for PS5. On the other hand, a preview of WRC 9 filters the existence of a new function from the PS5 menu.
