As the rank shows India and South Africa have moved upward while Pakistan, Australia, and England had show fall. India secured the first rank followed by south Africa with a lead of 6 points.

The latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Team Rankings released on Thursday. According to that Virat Kohli team, India retained number one rank with 123 points. While South Africa secured the second position with 117 points.
Likewise, Australia has been placed on the third position with 100 points followed by England(99), New Zealand(97), Pakistan(93), Sri Lanka(91), west indies(75), Bangladesh(69) and Zimbabwe(0).
It clearly shows that India and South Africa have shown improvement in their performance whereas England, Australia, Pakistan made a downward movement. Australia has dropped from 108 points to 100 points.
Indian Team had enjoyed a magnificent 2016-17 season at home. In this season, they secured the series win over New Zealand, England and Australia and claimed the one-off Test against Bangladesh. The winning streak of India extended when they secured series win in Sri Lanka and West Indies. The 2-1 series win over Australia gave Virat’s Side a unique distinction that holds the bilateral series wins over all Test playing nations.
