WhatsApp latest update brings PiP for video calls and text-only feature for the status update. This attempt of the recent update with the latest feature is to boost user on this messaging platform, which has already a billion users globally. Earlier these two features were available for the beta version of WhatsApp for some time. But now both iOS, as well as the Android user, can avail this latest rolled out features.

Popular messaging app WhatsApp again updated with two new features for both Android and iOS users for its stable and public build. The first updated feature that rolled out is picture-in-picture mode whereas the second one is text-only coloured status update feature. The PiP mode is for video calling.

This PiP mode or picture in picture mode will allow the user to multitask while doing the video call. Resizing of the window as possible while going through a video call or during receiving a video call. This pip mode for video calling is helpful while some one is on a video call and wants to initiate a chat with another contact or view picture. Earlier users were only able to upload the photo as status. But now users can type their favourite quotes with their font choice on a bright background. This feature is also available on both iOS and Android platform.

The recent WhatsApp status option host a privacy option that makes it easier for the user to choose from their contacts whom they want to see their status. This privacy setting includes “My Contacts”, “Contacts except….” and “Only share with …”. The eye icon below the status shows the name of your contacts who has seen your status picture.
