The Crystal Cave of Giants in Mexico was discovered by accident during mining operations.

Found in 2000 by miners working in the Naica Mine, this cave contains some of the largest natural crystals ever discovered. The massive selenite crystals formed over 500,000 years in mineral-rich water heated by magma. The cave's conditions are so extreme that special cooling suits are required for exploration.
