The Greenland shark can live for over 500 years.

These deep-sea dwellers are the longest-living vertebrates known to science, with one individual estimated to be 512 years old. They grow extremely slowly, at about 1 cm per year, and don't reach sexual maturity until around 150 years of age. Their longevity is partly due to their extremely slow metabolism in cold, deep waters.
