As a process of enhancing the latest docuseries about former Chicago Bulls participant Michael Jordan, ESPN and Netflix are involved in Spotify for the additional content material.
Spotify to create music and podcasts playlist for viewers to see after seeing 10 episodes of Final Dance, a documentary that tells the story of Jordan’s profession where he played for Chicago Bulls in the late 20th century. The playlist made by Spotify is named “The Last Dance”.
Spotify’s The Last Dance includes songs by The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang Clan, Diddy, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, DMX, Big Pun, A Tribe Called Quest, Mobb Deep, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Eric B & Rakim, Boogie Down Productions, Gang Starr, Common, Pusha T, Lupe Fiasco, Drake, Chance The Rapper, YBN Cordae, and more.
The partnership between these three platforms will enhance the documentary about Michael Jordan to another level. The music playlist was partly done by Rudy Chung, the music supervisor of the show and the team of Spotify’s internal podcast curation have put together a weekly podcast playlist for us.
Through this, Spotify is also supporting its own network of podcasts, such as Bill Simmons’ show, which is an additional boost to the company. It’s a win-win situation for everyone here.
The Last Dance began airing on ESPN in the United States on April 19. New episodes will take place on Sunday nights through May 17. The show will also be available on Netflix in places outside the United State.
